Pathology Consultants of New Mexico is committed to advances in women’s healthcare. At PCNM, we combine the advantages of the liquid-based collection media of the ThinPrep™ Pap Image Directed Cytology™ test with ancillary testing such as HPV, sexually transmitted, and gyn-related infectious agent testing. This advanced testing not only provides better gynecologic health overall, it helps save lives.
In addition to routine histopathology, PCNM is able to perform, in-house, a variety of special and immunohistochemical stains, thus providing quick turnaround time even for more complex cases. Esoteric testing is referred to our reference labs partners whom we have chosen for both the reliability of their testing and commitment to expeditious turnaround time. This allows more complete clinical decision making.
We provide in-house testing for Neisseria gonorrhea (NG) and Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), vaginosis-related organisms, and human papillomavirus (HPV). By offering these tests in house, cytology and molecular results can be integrated into a single report, delivering a more inclusive report for each patient, as well as improved turnaround time. All of our women’s health-related tests are FDA approved.
