New Mexico Medicaid is transitioning to Turquoise Claims, a new claims management system replacing OmniCaid and the Medicaid Provider Web Portal.

Who Is Impacted?

  • Providers submitting fee‑for‑service claims directly to the State begin using Turquoise Claims March 23 at 7:00 PM.
  • Paper claim submitters must mail claims to a new P.O. Box beginning March 23 (address to be provided closer to launch).
  • EDI claim submitters continue using clearinghouses as they do today.
  • Managed care EDI submitters may see Payer ID updates. See the Turquoise Claims FAQ for details.

What Is Changing?

Claims System Downtime

  • Claims submissions paused for 72 hours during system transition.
  • Downtime: Friday, March 20 at 5:00 PM through Monday, March 23 at 7:00 PM.
  • Claims submission resumes through Turquoise Claims at YES.NM.GOV.

AVRS Downtime

  • AVRS unavailable Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 PM through Monday, March 23 at 7:00 PM.
  • For assistance: CCSC Provider Line (800) 820‑6901.
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM MT.

Status & Eligibility During Downtime

  • Medicaid Provider Web Portal available in Inquiry Mode only.
  • Providers may check claim status, verify member eligibility, and download remittance advice documents (RAs) and reports.
  • Eligibility information will be current as of March 19, 2026.

Claims Payments

  • Claims payments will not be interrupted.
  • Payment schedule remains unchanged.
  • Remittance advice documents and EFT payments will continue as usual.

How to Prepare

  • Download final Remittance Advice (RA) documents from the Medicaid Provider Web Portal by March 23.
  • Prior authorization providers should download final Prior Authorization reports.
  • Create your YES.NM.GOV account in advance if you have not already.
  • Additional Turquoise Claims access instructions will be sent at launch.
